We are the country’s first and only majority Australian Indigenous owned, full-service facilities and property management company. With Evolve FM, every dollar spent with Indigenous business creates $4.41 of economic and social value in the Indigenous community. Evolve FM strives to achieve a minimum target of 25% of our directly employed staff being Indigenous and over 50% of our current contracted spend used to deliver services on sites, is with Indigenous owned businesses.
Of proud Wiradjuri descent, founders and co-owners, cousins Troy Rugless and Shane Jacobs, had a shared vision to create a commercial framework that enabled the delivery of social initiatives, leading positive change for First Nations people. Global property leader JLL and PSGH joined together and an exciting new offering was born—Evolve FM—a majority Indigenous Australian-owned integrated facilities management services company.
Today, Evolve FM is one of Australia’s leading Indigenous Australian businesses, with more than 60 staff and 20% First Nations employment. Managing more than 3.6 billion sqm (including land) of space, across 669 Australian sites for more than 30 clients, supported and delivered by our team of property and FM professionals. We partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and businesses whenever possible, with 46–62% of our spend with First Nations businesses.
Agile and adaptable, we move more swiftly than top-tier firms, unbound by red tape or bureaucracy. Managing projects from end-to-end, clients come back to us for our outstanding work and personal approach, with our positive social impact the cherry on top. As part of our Joint Venture arrangements, Evolve FM clients have access to JLL’s significant property related services infrastructure including its Centres of Excellence, access to best in class systems and processes, the latest technology and 24/7 helpdesk support.
In stark contrast to the male dominated property and FM industries, 58% of Evolve FM’s staff are female, and are represented at all levels. Our executive team is now 50% female and 50% male. Over 8.5% of our directly employed staff are Indigenous, and we offer various entry level programs for Indigenous trainees. Employees originate from a large variety of Indigenous people, covering the length and breadth of Australia and the Torres Strait Islands. We have imbedded effective frameworks to support, develop, and retain Indigenous employees and broader diversity groups within Evolve FM.
PSGH is a 100% Indigenous-owned construction and services company, and one of Australia’s leading Indigenous businesses. Founders and co-owners, cousins Troy Rugless and Shane Jacobs – proud Australians with Wiradjuri, Torres Strait Islander and European heritage – formed PSGH to lead the way for Indigenous businesses and give something back to their people.
Evolve FM’s minority owner, JLL, is a global professional services and investment management firm offering specialised real estate services to clients seeking increased value by owning, occupying, and investing in real estate. In the Asia Pacific region (APAC), JLL has 60 years of experience and were the first global commercial property firm to establish an Australian presence in 1958.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners of the land on which we conduct business: the Aboriginal and Torres Strait nations of Australia. It is upon their ancestral lands that we stand. We pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for this place.
